Phase 1: Consolidation learning
This phase of our home learning provides planned activities and tasks that will require children to practise existing skills and build on existing knowledge. This is an important stage in the learning process. No new teaching is required. We expect this phase to last for the first 3-4 weeks.
This learning is supported by ‘learning grids'; a set of tasks and challenges designed to help children focus their attention and try something new. The grids are designed to meet different ages, stages and abilities and we have used planets to label each different grid.
Each child has received their starter grid appropriate to the ‘planet’ they are learning on. Going forward, when each new learning grid is uploaded or shared, your child should access the same planet each time.
PLEASE remember, these activities are OPTIONAL – they are suggestions from teachers of some things you can do at home to keep learning going. Remember, there are lots of different ways to learn. You don’t need to do all of the activities at once or at all. Do as much or as little as suits your family
You can download copies of all learning grids below. If you can’t do this for any reason, paper copies can be collected from Broomlands PS (the new Hub) between 7.30am – 6pm, 7 days a week.
