At Edenside we recognise the importance of transitions in children’s lives. It is important that we support children through these times to help them feel safe, secure and reduce barriers to their learning. We acknowledge that transitions happen daily for children, however the following information is to support the move from one year or stage of learning to the next. This includes:
- starting nursery for the first time,
- starting Primary 1,
- starting as a new pupil at any point in the school year,
- moving class, year after year,
- leaving Primary 7 to move on to High School.
Each of these ‘transitions’ are important and we want to make sure they are a positive experience for everyone. That it why we have provided or signposted to some special resources to support these different transition times. Just click on the links above to find out more.
