Nursery Friday bulletin: 18th September 2020

Dear Parents and Carers,

Highlights from this week:

· In the glorious sunshine on Tuesday we had a ‘beach day’ in the sandpit with bare toes! We observed a lot of teamwork and sharing amongst the children. You may have needed to wash away a bit of sand at home.

· We have been on ‘pigeon watch’ this week, as the children spotted a brave pigeon who has built her nest in the nursery garden. The children have estimated how many eggs they think she will lay, with the top number being 10!

· Some of the children went on an expedition in the school grounds to discover what is growing there.

· Our budding bakers have been busy this week! Hope you have enjoyed the animal biscuits, rainbow fairy cakes and apple crumble that have come home.

· Many children have also made their own playdough to take home with an easy recipe card that you can use at home.

Snacks next week:

Morning snack Afternoon snack

Tuesday Toast selection of toppings Selection of fresh fruit

Reminder:

Snack Money
We are receiving contributions towards the cost of snack from many families through ParentPay. A contribution of 50p per day that your child attends nursery is suggested. If you are unsure how to access ParentPay please do stay behind to speak to Mrs Moir at drop-off time. She will be happy to help.

Get well soon!

Some of you may have noticed that Miss Focjik has been off this week. She had an emergency appendectomy on Monday and is now convalescing at home. We wish her a speedy recovery and look forward to welcoming her back in a few weeks’ time.

Illness

As you will be aware, there has been a cold circulating within the school and more widely within the town. Whilst we are being vigilant for symptoms of Covid-19, we also feel the need to err on the side of caution, in our efforts to keep everyone safe. If your child shows any symptoms of being unwell, please do keep them at home. If anyone in the family shows symptoms of Covid-19, please follow the NHS Scotland guidance, which can be found here. As per the most recent guidance, children and adults must remain at home for 48 hours after a negative test. Thank you for working with us to keep our school community safe. Have a lovely weekend! J

Kind regards,

The Nursery Team
