School bulletin: Friday 13th November 2020

Happy Friday everyone!

PE update – send uniform every Monday for the week

For the next 5 weeks, most classes will have a second PE lesson with a visiting PE teacher on Monday or Tuesday. Please send a PE kit to school on Monday morning for the entirety of the week. The only exception to this is P1R and P12W who received separate information last week.

As per updated Scot.gov guidance, we can now have PE lessons inside, which is ideal given the change in weather as we head towards winter. However, as much as possible, children will still be outside so should stll have ‘outdoor kit’ and coats.

Edenside’s 50th birthday party – Friday 27th November

As you should know, our school turned 50 this month. As well as learning all about life in the 1970s, we also want children to join us for a special birthday party. We will be hosting a 70s themed arty on Friday 27th November. Children (and staff) are invited and encouraged to come to school dressed up to reflect 70s fashion. As always, please don’t spend money on this – it’s amazing what you can do with an old t-shirt or a floral dress!

Christmas @Edenside – celebrating despite COVID

It’s only 5 weeks until the festive holidays and we are keen to ensure the children of Edenside have a special Christmas in school. We will share further plans in the coming weeks.

Staying vigilant – Stay safe, stay well

Aware of the rise in COVID cases nationally, we are continuing to be vigilant to keep everyone in our school community safe. If your child shows any symptoms of being unwell, please do keep them at home. If anyone in the family shows symptoms of Covid-19, please follow the NHS Scotland guidance.  Thank you for working with us to keep our school community safe.
