Nursery bulletin: Friday 25th September 2020

Dear Parents and Carers,

We have had a lovely week in nursery with very settled, happy children, enjoying their experiences indoors and outdoors.

Highlights from this week:

ELC 2

  • Hot off the press! We have an egg in our pigeon’s nest and the children are very excited about it!
  • We’ve been exploring shapes this week indoors and out. We have been shape hunting each morning outside, which links to our ‘Maths is all around us’ theme for Maths Week next week!
  • We went on an adventure walk round the school to discover shapes in our environment. Try spotting some shapes in your home or outdoors with your little one.
  • The children were excited about searching for buried treasure in the sandpit this week.
  • We have been on walks to look for signs of autumn & collected fallen objects which were put in a discovery tray to look at through a magnifying glass.
  • Brambles were picked, sampled, crushed & painted with! Very messy, but the children had so much fun discovering the various uses for brambles.
  • Children tag counted in the painting area (touched each object as they counted it and said the correct number as they counted.)
  • Children have loved making & flying their own kites!
