Nursery Bulletin 13th May 2022

Dear Parents and Carers, 13.05.22

We have had a great week at nursery and these are some of the highlights.

Highlights from this week:

We have seen some amazing building and design in the construction area. Some children have been using books to ignite their imagination and produced wonderful models, bridging, scaffolding and enclosing using the wooden blocks.

Our budding artists have been really busy creating fantastic pictures. The children were painting at the easel using a range of brush sizes and paint colours, they also asked for paint to be taken outside and created a joint masterpiece, using a large piece of paper, brushes and their hands. Our youngest children have been making hand and finger print blossom pictures after seeing all the blossom blowing around the garden.

A popular activity outside was an obstacle course made by the children, this was encouraging the children to balance, navigate, run and jump their way around the garden. The children have also been practicing on the bikes and scooters with increasing confidence and awareness of their surroundings.

We have been baking in the nurture room and made some delicious flower shaped shortbread after the children were looking at daffodils they planted earlier in the year.

Daily snack:

The children have a variety of fruit and vegetable sticks for morning and afternoon snack along with a drink of milk or water.
