P4-7 bulletin: Friday 26th February 2021

This is a special newsletter for our P4-7 children who are currently still at home.

Remote learning – just for a bit longer

The announcement on Tuesday from Nicola Sturgeon about the proposed return of P4-7 pupils on Monday 15th March is a welcome ray of hope. There are no firm details about this return as yet but we will provide confirmation as soon as possible. In the meantime, class teachers continue to plan and provide our remote learning offer and the next grids will be uploaded on Sunday night. We have seen a significant increase in engagement and submission of work this week so thank you for your support. We know this is a challenging situation but, together, we’ll get through it. #InThisTogether

Parent-teacher phone calls

If you haven’t already, we’d really encourage you to book an appointment to talk to your child’s teacher next week. Slots are available on Tuesday or Thursday evening, providing an opportunity for a general conversation about your child, how they are getting on during lockdown and how they coping with home learning. Please check your email inbox for book information or phone the office. #ItsGoodToTalk

World Book Day – Thursday 4th March

At Edenside, we will be marking this annual event with a week of book & reading related activities planned for our learners across the school!  We will promote and celebrate our reading culture as well as unite the entire school community. Look out for further details on the class Facebook pages. #EdensideLovesReading

Keeping in touch

We hope you know that we value the relationships we have with our families. We want to maintain and build on this. We will keep in touch with you via Friday updates and Facebook.
