Dear families,
We have had a week of festive fun.
Highlights of the week:
- A lot of the children’s highlights of the week are top secret, they have been extremely creative and have produced an amazing selection of Christmas goodies to share with you either today or at the beginning of next week.
- Our Smartboard has given the children access to technology and they have been playing games to help support counting and number and shape recognition. They have been following instructions, moving items on the touch screen and taking turns.
- Our block areas have been busy this week, the children have been adding toys to help with their play, for example: a tractor to help move the blocks when they were building a house, cars to go in the garages and people to live in houses they have constructed.
- The children have made white christmas traybake, bird feeders and salt dough gingerbread people

Fresh fruit and vegetable sticks are always available with morning snack.
Reminders:
The children are invited to come to nursery wearing something Christmassy every day next week but please don’t go out and buy something new. We have plenty of supplies the children can borrow or they could even make themselves something to wear.
Christmas Party
Our party is on Tuesday morning, if your child is in all day and you would like them to change out of their party clothes please send in alternative clothes and notify a member of staff.
Christmas Lunch
This is on Wednesday and if you haven’t already done so please order this via ParentPay as soon as possible.
Snack money
Please can I remind you to pay your child’s weekly snack money through ParentPay as we are currently operating a cashless system. Please speak to a member of staff if you have any problems accessing/using the App or need help to set up your account.
COVID-19 update – important information
As we continue to pick our way through the COVID-19 pandemic, there is important information we want to share with all families. To help with this, we’ve added a COVID-19 section to our website. This includes information about self-isolation and, most importantly, what to do should your child test positive. Please take a moment to look at the website and familiarise yourself with the current information.
