Nursery bulletin: Friday 25th March 2022

Dear nursery families,

What a wonderful week we have had, Friday has arrived so quickly.

Highlights from this week

I am conscious that I often talk about the weather in the bulletin but it has made such a difference to nursery life this week, so it has to be the main highlight.  The children have been able to spend lots more time outside exploring, playing and learning.

The children’s routine has changed, much to their excitement, as they haven’t had to put on a full set of waterproofs, making the start of their outside experience much quicker but unfortunately will have added to your washing pile.

The children have been pretending that they are at the beach in large sand pit, it has been shoes and socks off and their exposed feet discovering, feeling and being buried.

Each afternoon the children have been given the option of where they’d like to have snack and the daily answer is “outside”, picnic style on the grass as a big group.  We have also had our story time outside too.

There was been great excitement in the Nurture Room on Wednesday morning, the children arrived to find a fantastic new piece of equipment in the room. The play frame has steps, a tunnel and a slide which the children have enjoyed climbing up, crawling through and sliding down.  They are learning to take turn and use the equipment safely.

The young bakers have been busy this week making shortbread for this week’s bake sale to raise funds for Ukrainian families organised by our wonderful P7’s.

Daily snack:

The children have a variety of fruit and vegetable sticks for morning and afternoon snack along with a drink of milk or water.

Notes

Easter Holiday

The last day of term is Friday 1st April and we return to school on Monday 18th April.

Items to bring in

With the weather changing recently, please can you bring sun cream and a sun hat for your child and clearly label it.

Please can you make sure that all items are labelled, as it make reuniting them at the end of the day easier.
