Nursery bulletin: Thursday 7th October 2021

Dear families,

It is hard to believe that we have reached the October holiday already.

Highlights from this week:

ELC 1Despite the weather the children have had an amazing week of outdoor learning, in between the downpours.  After looking at an Autumn story some children wanted to know where conkers grow, so we went on a conker hunt around the school. The children took buckets to collect items of interest and we managed to find lots of shiny conkers.  It was great to watch the children discover a different part of the school grounds and the highlight was rolling down the hill. Once we returned we sorted our natural treasure by type, then some counted the conkers, others, compared the lengths of the sticks, hung up leaves and used them to decorate pictures.

Some of our two year old children had their first adventure to the Secret Garden this week, they went with the older children and had a fantastic time, running, balancing, climbing and exploring.

Parent phone calls

We would like to thank you all for taking the time to speak to us this week, it is great to be able to share your child’s progress and learning and find out what they are doing at home.  We are overwhelmed by the positive feedback we have received.

We hope you have a wonderful break and look forward to seeing the children and hearing about their adventures when we return on 19th October.

Have a lovely break!

Kind regards,

The Nursery Team
