Happy Friday everyone!
The last week of school
Over the last few days of school, there will be a number of different activities taking place across the classes. On the last day, we will be visited by an ice-cream van who will provide an ice-cold treat for every child, courtesy of our amazing Parent Council.
Our Primary 7s will attend their graduation on Monday and will lay their leaver’s stone on the P7 Cairn on Wednesday afternoon.
COVID safe to the end
With the rise in local positive test cases, we are maintaining a high level of vigilance and measures to help prevent the transmission or spread of coronavirus. Your help in identifying any symptoms and then acting accordingly is greatly appreciated.
Parent Council minutes
The minutes from the last Parent Council meeting are available here. The next meeting will take place in the new school year with a final date and time to be confirmed.
Showbie reminder
Our school will soon be using an exciting new app called Showbie; an online platform that allows teachers and students to work together, share their work and receive feedback in a quick and easy way. Back to school reminder
Pupils will return to school on Wednesday 18th August 2021. The school will be open, however, on Monday 16th and Tuesday 17th for any ‘back to school’ queries.

With effect from August, school meals will cost £2.40 per day.
Trial 20mph Speed Limit: Primary School Questionnaire
The Spaces for People programme, which is funded by the Scottish Government and managed by Sustrans Scotland, has been used to support a number of pilot projects over an 18-month period which aim to make it easier and safer for people to walk, cycle and wheel for every day journeys in the Scottish Borders.
A 20mph trial in over 90 Borders towns and villages was introduced in October 2020 and a number of trial 40mph areas, road closures and one way systems in specific locations were also implemented.
