Whole School Bulletin 2nd June 2022

The end of a very short week is here already! We have thoroughly enjoyed welcoming parents and carers back into the building this week for our first in-person parent’s appointments in over 2 years! There was a real buzz around the school and lots of positive discussions about the children’s learning.

Please remember the school is closed tomorrow, Friday 3rd June, for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. We look forward to seeing everyone back on Monday.

Residential

A reminder to our current P6s that places for the P7 residential must be confirmed by 12th June. Details were sent via email. Please contact the school office if you did not receive this.

Fundraiser – Charity Football Matches

Next week, some of our wonderful P7 pupils will be hosting charity football matches to raise money for new playground equipment. To ensure everyone has the chance to participate, Mr Sutton is very kindly dedicating one PE lesson to this for every class. We are hoping for good weather so we can enjoy the outdoors, but we know the children will have fun regardless of the weather!

All donations are very welcome and there is no requirement for specialist clothing or equipment.

Headlice

We have had a number of reported cases of headlice throughout the school. Please check your child’s head regularly and use the appropriate treatments where necessary.

Nursery face to face consultations

A reminder that face to face nursery consultations are taking place next Friday, 10th June, between 1 and 3pm. Please ensure you have booked a slot.

P1 Transition tour of the school

An email was sent to all families with children starting P1 in August, inviting them to book a slot to come on a tour of the school. The dates are Friday 10th June and Friday 17th June. If you didn’t receive this information please contact the school office.
