We will be running a Christmas clothes pop up stall from Tuesday-Thursday (3rd-5th Dec). The items are free of charge. If you would like an item for your child to wear to their Christmas party, or a Christmas jumper, please do visit our stall between 9.10 and 9.30am where Mrs Hill will show you what is available.
If you have a children’s Christmas party outfit (dresses, skirts, trousers, accessories) or a jumper that has been out-grown this year and would like to donate to our stall, we would gratefully receive them. Any items can be handed into reception.
Let’s work together to promote reusing and recycling within our Kelso community.
For morning parties, children should come dressed in party clothes, with school uniform to change into. For afternoon parties, children should come dressed in uniform, with party clothes to change into. See information above about our ‘Christmas swap shop’ if you’re stuck for an outfit.
This year, our P1s and 2s will be performing their show on the afternoon and evening of Tuesday 10th. Information about tickets has already been shared with P1 and 2 parents. Proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to a charity selected by the whole school. There will be a Raffle Draw at the evening performance.
The annual nursery nativity will be on the morning of Wednesday 11th December. There will only be one performance this year.
In our ongoing attempts to be an eco-aware school, pupils are asked NOT to do Christmas cards for their classmates. Instead, we will be creating a huge whole-school Christmas message board that all children will be adding to. We ask for your support in helping your child understand the importance of ‘doing their bit’ to help our environment.
Last day of term
- Children are invited to come to school wearing Christmas jumpers or ‘a touch of Christmas’. See information above about our ‘Christmas swap shop’ if you’re stuck for a jumper.
- We will be going to Kelso Parish church (the one near the Abbey) for a 9.30am Christmas service. This will be led by our P3s. All welcome.
- The annual Christmas lunch for pupils will be served! Make sure you’ve booked your child’s meal via ParentPay.
As ever, if you have any questions, please just contact the school office.
