Reminder – Our new “Growing in Confidence” course starts on Monday 5 November at 2:30pm. All Welcome!
We are starting our new course in Raising Children with Confidence this November. Over four weeks you can participate in our course, exploring how we can raise our children to be confident and resilient, and the importance of promoting positive mental health and emotional well-being in both ourselves, and our children. The course will be made up of discussion, watching video clips, reading slides and is accessible to all of us as parents; there is no prior knowledge necessary. The sessions will be delivered by me, Suzanne McLear, the Support for Learning Teacher
This is a certificate course, requiring just one hour a week, 2.30-3.30pm, starting Monday 5th November. When you complete this course you will have the basic tools and understanding from current research into mental health in Scotland to help you feel positive about yourself, and raising those tiny humans the best you can. In the future, into the New Year, I hope to run an advanced course where you will have the opportunity to deepen your understanding and learn more about the development of children and their well-being, which is a priority in Scottish Education today.
Please contact the school office by phone or e mail if you would like to participate in this opportunity. Alternatively, you’re very welcome to just come along to the first session and see what it would look like.
Be the best you can be!
